Chia Seeds

We have the new season Chia seeds back in store.

Chia promote heart health, supports joint function and mobility and aids a healthy digestive system.

Chia seeds are a gluten free wholegrain. The black and white seeds are equal in nutritional value.

As their flavour is very neutral they can be used on sweet or savoury dishes. Good on your muesli, salad, in your smoothie or in your bread. If you mix them with water they become gel-like, and very filling.

Chia is very high in dietary fibre - 80% of which is insoluble fibre that promotes healthy digestion. Chia seeds are very high in Omega 3 essential fatty acids. They contain over 20% complete protein with all 8 essential amino acids which is very rare for a vegetarian source of protein.

Storage at room temperature is fine.
