Chocolate Tofu Ganache

This recipe comes from one of our long-term customers and is a real delight.


  • 150g chocolate (milk or dark, depending on your personal preference)
  • 100g soft or silken tofu
  • Cocoa or carob powder

Note: All these ingredients are typically available at Community Foods


  1. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler
  2. Strain the tofu into a puree
  3. Mix the chocolate and tofu together and spread into a shallow tray
  4. Refrigerate for a couple of hours until set
  5. Cut chocolate into squares and coat with cocoa or carob powder
  6. Serve as a delicious little sweet treat

An alternative is to let the mix cool a little, and while still soft, dip fresh strawberries into the mix. Refrigerate and serve as a lovely complement to desert.
